Hi, my name is Juan. I'm a Computer Science student at UNC Chapel Hill. I enjoy Systems Programming and have proven experience in the space with internships, Open Source work, projects, and a research publication to my name (published in Medical Physics). I'm also a big fan of the topic of Operating Systems.
- Did work as a Machine Learning Intern at SAS on the Machine Learning Server Team (Cary, North Carolina, Summer '26)

Volumetric Fan-Beam Imaging with Neural Attenuation Field for Cone-Beam Artifact Reduction
Our VFINAF method learns a continuous 3D attenuation field from measured cone-beam projections, then generates dense virtual fan-beam projections for conventional slice reconstruction. This reduces cone-beam artifacts without external training data.
